Evening Time

While creating this painting, I thought a lot about color, and the unique emotion each one conveys. Blue stopped being just blue; it mixed with green, becoming a deep turquoise sea. When it met red, it turned into to purple, capturing both a shade of darkness and the mystery of the city. When it met white, it formed the blue sky. Looked at through the lens of energy and emotion, a peaceful painting emerged. I think we owe that to the color blue. The boatman owes a word of thanks to the brighter orange of his boat for lighting his way home.
