The View from Bebek

I painted this while sitting on the upper floor of a cafe in Bebek—a neighbourhood on the European shore of the Bosphorus. It’s famous for celebrity residents. And its yacht-filled marina. Isn't it magnificent? One of Istanbul’s unique charms. Though perhaps he’s a bit envious of those yachts, the Boatman always knows his true value.
